JOIN our cause

Join Us – Walk With Us Toward Change

By embracing creativity and forward-thinking approaches, we continuously seek new ways to better support the people we serve.

At First Nation Services, we believe in creating real and lasting impact by walking together — staff, volunteers, community members, and allies. Whether you're a skilled professional, a passionate advocate, or a community leader, there's a place for you here.

Explore how you can be part of our journey.

Our Team – Join the Movement

You don't have to be First Nations to work with us — you just need to be committed to cultural respect, social justice, and advancing opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

At First Nation Services, we welcome individuals of all backgrounds who bring the right heart, skills, and mindset. Every staff member participates in our comprehensive Cultural Immersion and Awareness Training, designed and led by Elders and First Nations practitioners. This ensures our team operates with cultural safety, humility, and a deep understanding of the communities we serve.

We’re looking for:

  • Allied health professionals

  • Youth workers and mentors

  • Educators and cultural facilitators

  • Business and community development experts

  • Social workers and case managers

  • Project officers, admin, and support roles

Join a workplace where culture leads, and where your work creates real impact, every day.

Community Advisory Committee – Voice. Leadership. Change.

Our Community Committee is made up of local First Nations community members who provide advice, cultural guidance, and feedback to help shape our programs and strategy.

We are committed to:

  • Ensuring community voices are at the centre of our work

  • Elevating local knowledge and lived experience

  • Supporting strong regional leadership across Australia

If you are a respected community member, Elder, or advocate, and want to contribute to long-term change, we’d love to hear from you.

Volunteering – Be Part of the Change

Volunteers are the heartbeat of community-led change. We offer culturally respectful, meaningful volunteer opportunities for people who want to support our mission.

From mentoring young people to assisting at cultural events or supporting admin tasks, volunteering with First Nation Services is a powerful way to give back — and learn along the way.

Volunteers must:

  • Be committed to First Nations self-determination

  • Be willing to undertake cultural orientation

  • Operate with empathy, integrity, and respect

Partner With Us

We believe in strength through collaboration. If you're an organisation, business, school, or government agency looking to work alongside us, we welcome your partnership.

Together we can:

  • Deliver culturally safe training to your teams

  • Co-design programs and community initiatives

  • Provide referral pathways for youth, families, or clients

  • Mentor First Nations small businesses through our enterprise programs

Let’s create sustainable outcomes — grounded in respect and mutual benefit.
